High School Days Went By Like A Drip Of Coffee

Talking about my current days of high school, I might pull out something from this.

As I’m planning on what content to share, lately, school tests and assignments are passing by, I have to take care of them first. Thinking of talking about my high school days could be a big brainer for a change.

For starters, everyone I’m Keith, a high school student here, and I’ve been involved in writing lately. I mentioned a content change, not that I am going to change into story-telling forever. I’m just trying new things out.

So yeah, I have been doing a lot of things lately, and as I take a break, I am writing. You can consider writing as a break, right? While I’m writing this, I am also working on another blog, which is a book recommendation about thrillers and mysteries. This blog will come first because I need to do some research on the book I’m going to recommend.

Anyway, I’ll show my story-telling skills to you and see what you think of my interesting high school journey.

Talking about impression in high school

I started high school at 12 years old, and my first impression of high school was, ‘Oh, I think this is going to be the time of pain in my life’. Well, that is my first impression. Trust me, I am more nervous than that.

I don’t stand out in school that much. Maybe not. Either way, I have a solid group of friends. If I have a word to describe them, it is going to be AVERAGE. I am not trying to be mean. Well, the catch is, we just enjoy school life in general. Maybe join some club activities here and there, thinking of what to do. Maybe help our teachers pack things up, or just sit down at a bench all day. And I remember that I confessed to someone. Okay, I’ll just talk about it next time (totally not trying to change the topic).

Most of the morning, drinking coffee is a routine of mine as I review my class for the day. I have this weird habit of mine where I compare instant coffee to actual good coffee, like the coffee they serve in café restaurants. You have to admit, there are some instant coffees that are better than actual coffee. Well, I am an experimental person myself, trying to find new things along the way, thinking if I might get something usable here.

After School, before Covid

Waking up at 5 in the early morning and going home at 6 at night. Well, what do you think about that schedule? Maybe sitting down for hours is tiring, I am used to it though, I just don’t know about my arms and shoulders.

After school, my friends and I just hang out like free kids, and once a week, we eat in fast food strolls because they’re good and cheap, but my health is saying hello to me. We also go to the park and of course, karaoke places when we need a break from school.

There was a time when I went home at around 10 pm, and guess what, my parents didn’t like it. What’s worse is that my friends and I had fun that day and can’t even track time. In the end, it’s just holding into memories…

Things, not all will remain…

There are definitely some regretful thoughts from my high school days like I feel I could do better than that. It is what it is. Mistakes come along to make me who I am right now.

So? what’s the catch of the story?

If someone asks me if there is a chance I can rewind my life, I’d say my high school days, maybe because there are parts of it I want to feel again.

High school made me realize I should take life easy. Not that I should have fun and not focus on life whatsoever, but the point is, taking some time off from time to time is something I should consider in my life as well.

Bad things should be viewed as achievements, not the problem itself, but how you dealt with it in your life.

Taking breaks in life doesn’t mean you’re running away from it. Humans are humans. We are not built like machines. We deserve breaks after tiring days, thinking about what is ahead of us. Take things easy in life. It doesn’t hurt to take a breather from this point onwards.
